Hello and welcome at Second Home Rent!

We are Edo and Sharon van Halm, founders of Second Home Care and Second Home Rent. We are originally from Holland and decided to settle in France in 2004. Our home today is the beautiful Burgundy region of Puisaye-Forterre, two hours south of Paris.

" Our goal is to do our utmost best to help you find the ideal holiday home in France!

The concept of our company is based on a partnership between us and owners of second homes, which enables owners to make a profitable return on their precious real-estate investment, as well as providing unique solutions for high quality tourist accommodation in rural areas. We manage our own team and offer a wide range of beautiful holiday houses, villas and castles. We know every property individually and carry out a rigorous selection before adding any new homes to our catalogue.

The adventure began when we started renting our own Burgundy house on a seasonal basis. Given the success of this experience, we were quickly approached by French, Dutch and English owners of second homes in Burgundy, who then entrusted us with the property management, the maintenance and upkeep of the gardens and pools of their properties. Today we are also developing a "consulting" branch to help other hosts to start or grow their business.

We are located in Saint-Sauveur, a charming little village in the heart of the Puisaye, in the center of Burgundy and half an hour from the verdant Morvan region. We are also halfway between the famous vineyards of Sancerre, of Irancy and Chablis, and only two hours south of Paris. The Puisaye is the region of the writer Colette, the Guédelon Medieval Castle, the Castle of Saint-Fargeau and many other rich cultural and historical sites. It's also a great base for enjoying outdoor activities such cycling, horseriding, canoeing on the Loire or in the Morvan, and much more! We propose a comprehensive portfolio of large and beautiful luxury homes, each with private swimming pool, as well as summer residences such as cottages and rustic farmhouses.
